Transfer Options from Airports

Self-driving is the most practical and flexible way to access and discover the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge.

A standard sedan is sufficient for most roads within the refuge, that are paved.
Navigation: Download offline maps (Google Maps, AllTrails, or a Physical map). Cell service spotty in refuge.

Road Safety

Wildlife Crossings: Be watchful for bison, elk, deer, especially at dawn/dusk/night. Drive slowly.
