Amtrak's Southwest Chief serves Flagstaff (FLG). From Flagstaff, arrange separate ground transport to the park. Grand Canyon Railway provides historic service by Williams directly to South Rim.
Closest Greyhound bus station is Flagstaff. From there, onward travel to the Grand Canyon calls for a rental car or commercial shuttle. Arizona Shuttle offers services from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and Flagstaff to Grand Canyon Village.
Valid driver's license. AN international driving priving is recommended if domestic license is not in English. Renters typically 21-25+ years old (surcharges may apply). Roads to South Rim are paved and maintained. Driving in winter means potential snow and ice.
