The M2 line is notably helpful for visitors, connecting Ouchy (lakeside) through the city center (Flon, Gare CFF) to the northern heights. It acts as a funicular, making the steep climb effortless.

Fare Options

Single Tickets: Valid for a specific duration (e.g., 60 minutes) within chosen zones. Standard single pass for zones 11 and 12 (central Lausanne) costs CHF 3.70.

Lausanne Transport Card

Complimentary for guests staying in hotels, youth hostels, or B&Bs in Lausanne. Unrestricted travel on public transport in zones 11/12, discounts on attractions. Ask your lodging for this card.

Hours & Frequency

Metro Operations
  • Generally 5:00 AM until 12:30 AM-1:00 AM.

Ride-Sharing
