Pollençan Old Town's narrow, cobbled streets are ideal for walking. They are mostly car-free or have very limited traffic. The Pine Walk (Passeig Vora Mar) in Port de Pollençan is a popular, car-free promenade along the seafront, perfect for leisurely strolls.
Excursion companies offer coach tours from Port de Pollença for island-wide excursions (Palma, Valldemossa, Drach Caves).
Boat trips are available from Port de Pollença to nearby coves (Cala Figuera, Cala Murta) and Cap de Formentor. These are mainly for sightseeing.
There are no cable cars or funiculars in the Pollençan area. These types of transport are rare on Mallorca.
Specialized accessibility services are limited directly in Pollença due to cobbled streets. Port de Pollença's flat promenade is more accessible. Larger resorts and cities on Mallorca may offer more comprehensive resources.
Taxis are readily available at Palma de Mallorca Airport. A designated taxi rank is located just outside the arrivals terminal.
Follow signs for "Taxis."
Most car rental companies require drivers to be at least 21 years old. Some charge a young driver fee for those under 25.
A credit card in the main driver's name is usually needed.
Always wear a helmet when cycling; it is legally required in Spain.
Mallorca has well-maintained roads for cyclists.
Download the TIB Mallorca app to your phone for real-time bus locations and updated schedules. This makes public transport navigation simpler.
For car rentals, booking your car in advance is highly recommended, especially during peak season, to ensure availability and better prices.
