Loreto does not have a comprehensive public transit system like a metro or trams. The closest equivalent to local public buses are Colectivos or Peseros. These are shared taxis or vans that operate on semi-fixed routes, mainly by the main roads.
They are often older vehicles but provide a functional and affordable way to navigate. You can flag them down from the side of the road. There are no formal route maps for colectivos, as their routes are generally known by locals through common usage.
