Sanur Bali, Indonesia Travel Guide
ATMs are easy to find in Sanur, especially on main streets. For safety, use ATMs at banks like BCA, Mandiri, BNI. Tell your bank about your travel plans to stop card problems. Most hotels and larger shops take credit cards, but cash is good for small buys and local places.
Tipping is not traditional in Indonesia but is liked in tourist spots. Many restaurants add a service charge; if so, no extra tip needed. For good service, a small tip is fine.

Before your trip, talk to a travel health professional about vaccinations. Get routine shots updated. Hepatitis A and B, and Typhoid are often suggested for Indonesia travel. Rabies and Japanese Encephalitis may be good for longer stays or rural areas. Bali has consistent warmth, so heat stroke and dehydration are always a risk.
Hospitals like BIMC Nusa Dua (international accreditation) and Bali Mandara Hospital are available. Several smaller clinics are in Sanur for minor issues. Pharmacies (Apotek) are common. Always use Travel insurance.
Bali is on the Pacific Ring of Fire, so earthquakes happen often. Tsunamis are rare in Bali, but know evacuation routes if near the coast. Sanur's offshore reef helps protect from large waves.
Be aware of common scams: fake money changers with very high rates (count money carefully). Taxi drivers may overcharge (ask for the meter or use ride-hailing apps). Scooter rental scams about damage that was there before (take photos/videos of the scooter before renting). Sanur's nightlife is calmer than Kuta or Seminyak.
