Getting Around Milos

Milos Cyclades, Greece Travel Guide

Public Transportation

Milos has a public bus system connecting main settlements and famous shores. This is an economical way to get around. KTEL Milos operates the network. The central bus hub for all routes is in Adamas, near the port.

From Adamas, buses travel to Plaka, Tripiti, Pollonia, Sarakiniko, Firiplaka, and Provatas. Other less frequent routes also exist. Bus schedules are posted at main bus halts and online via the KTEL Milos site or local tourism offices.

Bus System Details

  • Tickets purchased from the driver or kiosks near stops. Cash payment is typical.
  • Fares generally range from €1.80 to €3.00 per trip. No multi-ride passes common.
  • High season (July-August): Buses run every 30-60 minutes, from early in the morning to late in the evening.
  • Accessibility: Buses may not be fully accessible for mobility challenges.

Check Schedules

Always double-check the latest bus schedules upon arrival, as they change seasonally or with short notice.
