Ride-sharing Taxis (Yellow Taxis): These are regular cars, typically yellow, that operate on set routes or pick up multiple passengers heading in the same general direction. They are the most common and affordable way to get around.
Motorcycle Taxis (Bendskins or Motos): These are extremely common, especially for close-by travel, for navigating traffic, or for getting to areas cars cannot reach. Passengers ride on the back. They are fast but can carry risk due to safety concerns and reckless driving.
Main centers include markets (Marché Central, Sandaga), Rond Point Deido, and areas around Bonanjo and Akwa.
For motos, always negotiate the fare beforehand and wear a Helmet if one is provided (which is rare).
