Asunción's public transportation system is mainly a bus network. There are no metro or tram systems. The city relies on an extensive network of public buses, operated by various private companies, each running specific routes. These buses reach most parts of the city and are very inexpensive.

Bus routes are extensive and can appear complex, especially for non-Spanish speakers. Physical maps are less common; digital tools are better.
