Water Sports & Activities

  • Swimming: Only in designated, crocodile-safe plunge pools like Maguk, Gunlom Falls, and some sections of Jim Jim and Twin Falls. This is only during the Dry Season, after ranger assessment.
  • Boat Cruises: The Yellow Water Cruise is very popular, presenting exceptional wildlife viewing and a unique perspective of the wetlands.
  • Fishing: Permitted in designated areas with a permit from Parks Australia. You must follow specific rules, like catch and release for Barramundi in some areas. Fishing suits the "run-off" season (Wet-Dry transition).
